What are the requirements for Spaces to offer a subscription?
Any Space that follows the policies to enable Space Subscriptions is eligible to start offering a subscription. Spaces that see the most success with Premium memberships tend to produce high-quality content on a regular basis and deliver consistent value to their readers.
How do earnings work for Spaces offering a subscription?
Content that a Space chooses to monetize will be accessible to subscribers of the Space but will be paywalled to non-subscribers. Non-subscribers who encounter paywalled content will have the option of becoming a subscriber to access the full post.
A Space offering a subscription will earn directly from the subscription fees it collects, minus applicable transaction fees. Earnings are paid out on up to a monthly basis to the Stripe account on file. Spaces must accrue a minimum balance of $10 USD to be eligible for a payout.

How should I price my Space subscription?
Setting a subscription price is a decision each Space owner must make using their own judgment. Common considerations include the size of your audience and their willingness and ability to pay. Space owners new to monetization might consider experimenting with different prices to find the right price point.
How often can I change the price of my subscription?
To protect the benefits of paying subscribers, Space owners can change the price of a subscription no more than once per month. Any price changes will only apply to new subscribers.
How do I track views and engagement on my subscribers-only content?
Detailed engagement statistics are available to admins and moderators in the Stats tab. For more information, visit What statistics do I get with my Space?.
Who has permissions to manage a Space's subscription?
Currently, only the Space owner can manage and receive earnings for subscriptions. The owner may choose to coordinate separately with other Space collaborators to discuss management of the Space. For more information, visit How and when are Space payments made?.
Can admins, moderators, and contributors view subscriber-only posts?
Yes. Space admins, moderators, and contributors will be able to view subscriber-only posts without paying for a subscription to that Space.
Do writers get paid for content included in Space subscriptions?
Yes. Writers receive 95% of subscription revenue from paying members, minus payment processing fees, processing fees, chargebacks, and refunds.
