To use Quora on your Google Home, simply activate Quora and ask your question. You don't need to “download” Quora; it is automatically available on the device. To start Quora, just say: “Ok Google, launch Quora.”
The first time you use Quora, you will be prompted to login to your Quora account, which you can do via the Google Home app on your phone.
Going forward, you can activate Quora by saying things like:
- “Ok Google, launch Quora”
- “Ok Google, talk to Quora”
Once Quora is activated, you can ask your questions.
You can also start Quora and ask your question at the same time, by saying something like the following:
- “Ok Google, ask Quora 'what is it like to drive for Uber?'”
- “Ok Google, ask Quora 'what is the Higgs boson?'”
- “Ok Google, ask Quora 'what is the best Cirque Du Soleil show in Las Vegas?'”
When we're confident that we've found your question on Quora and it has a good answer, we'll read a short summary of that answer to you. You can then choose whether or not to hear the full answer.
If we find your question but it doesn't have good answers yet, we'll ask whether you want to request answers for it. When the question gets an answer, we'll notify you via Quora as we do normally. The notifications will happen through Quora, not through the Google Home device.
If your question hasn't been asked yet, we'll give you an option to add it to Quora. Again, when the question gets an answer, we'll notify you via Quora as we do normally.
